His Story

Chef Frederic Pierrel

Chef Frederic

Meet The Chef

Chef Frederic Pierrel's path to Freddie's Kitchen spans continents, kitchens, and decades of experience. Raised and trained in France, he developed a passion for exploring food and tastes at local markets. This passion grew into a deep respect for culinary discipline, precision, patience, and an understanding of how flavour develops through technique.

Over time, his perspective widened. Cooking alongside chefs across the globe, exploring regional markets, and working in mountain towns like Mammoth Lakes, Frederic absorbed influences that continue to shape his work today. His approach balances tradition with curiosity, drawing from French foundations while embracing seasonal ingredients and fresh ideas.

"Cooking has always been my way of bringing people together. If the food is prepared with care, the rest takes care of itself."

— Chef Frederic Pierrel

Frederic favours precision and proportion over spectacle. Every dish is composed with intention, balanced with care, and designed to be savoured. The kind of food that invites a second bite.
